Caveman Coffee – Peppermint Chamomile Tea Review

Over in our household we love trying new things. We feel immensely blessed that since emerging into the blogging world we have been given the opportunity to try out new things. From children’s apps, to kid products, and even lingerie for mom. This time we got to try the Peppermint Chamomile Tea by Caveman Coffee Co. and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

This is a sponsored post in which I received free product for an honest review. All thoughts an opinions are 100% my own.

Who is Caveman Coffee Co.?

Caveman Coffee Co. is a single-origin coffee roaster based out of Los Angeles, CA and Albuquerque, NM. The company was began back in 2013 by athletes; Tait Fletcher, Keith Jardine and Lacie Mackey. Together, the three partnered up with a coffee roaster that owns their own family farm and imports their beans directly from Colombia. Caveman Coffee has expanded to more than just coffee beans, they specialize in canned nitro cold brew, nitrogen infused teas, cold brew coffee concentrate, compostable k-cups, and one of their newest additions, a vanilla bean emulsified MCT oil that mixes amazingly with hot and cold beverages. Something that I found charming and kind of loved about the company is that they advocate what they called the “Pirate Life.” Specifically this means personal responsibility. In their own words, “this means “not living the average, helpless life, with average health and a slow decline into accepted sickness.” You can read more about the company here.

Peppermint Chamomile Tea

I am not a coffee person, but I do love teas. I decided to try their chamomile tea for various reasons. Quickly, chamomile tea carries many benefits, some include the ability to lower stress levels, aid with sleep, and protect the skin among others. As I had mentioned in previous posts, exciting things are happening. I quit my old job and began a new one this week. Needless to say, my stress levels were off the roof trying to finalize everything at my old firm to make the transition smoother. This is also why I have sort of taken an unannounced break from the blogging world. After the hectic two weeks I had, I definitely needed something to help me de-stress.

The tea combines both Chamomile and Peppermint. As soon as I had the first sip I could taste the amazing combination of the two flavors, the subltle apple flavor of the Chamomile meets the soothing taste of peppermint. As mentioned above, Chamomile provides support for sleep, stress reduction, and minimizing anxiety. In addition, “Peppermint also improves digestion, reduces pain and inflammation, assists in weight loss, boosts the immune system and relaxes the body and mind.”

The Final Verdict

Both my husband and I tried this tea and we loved it. Chamomile and Peppermint are two flavors that you probably would not think about putting together, but once you taste the combination if all makes perfect sense. Something I would like to point out is that the tea tasted and smelled fresh. I don’t know how many times I have bought tea at the store that just felt like the flavor was no longer there. Of course, there are places were you can buy fresh tea like this, but sometimes with hectic schedules like mine, this is just not feasible. Here is where a very cool feature of Caveman Coffee Co. comes in, they have Monthly Coffee Subscriptions!!

You get to build your monthly subscription box, you pick your kit, which basically means you can chose from a wide variety of products on the website, including teas and coffee. The Pirate Life family also includes free extras in your subscriptions each month. This little feature is awesome because you get to try out other products that you possibly wouldn’t have otherwise. And the best of it all is that it arrives to your doorstep, ready for you to brew and enjoy.

I would definitely recommend this tea. I am intrigued as to other products offered by Caveman Coffee Co. so definitely be on the look out for future reviews and let me know if you try any of the products.

Xoxo – Elle
